How can one clock in an east coast state and another clock in a west coast state have exactly the same time? |
[Edit] |
East and West Coasts With Exact Same Hour
They live in Oregon and Florida which have portions of their state in the Mountain and Central time zones respectively, despite being coastal states. Also, it is the day of the fall daylight savings, at 1:30am when the interval between 1-2am is repeated, though what Betty and Alice are doing up at that time is beyond me.
OR:
One or both of the clocks is wrong. If I set my clock to noon it doesn't mean it actually is noon...
No.
The first answer is correct. The second is not. Someone deleted the explanatory information that I posted after asking the question (there was not enough room to include it in the question itself). Included in that information was the statement that both clocks are correct for their respective time zones. Really, did you think someone would post a question under the category "brainteasers" with an answer that easy?
