Getting an Answer to a Question
Below does not even answer the question. I have not firgured out yet how/where an answer to my question can be viewed. This is a very non-user friendly web site.
Every question and answer at WikiAnswers is added by regular people. We depend on readers to ask questions and we also depend on readers to help answer other people's questions.
Some questions get answered right away, within days, hours, or even minutes. Some questions may never get answered. It depends on how hard your question is to answer and who out there is generous enough to try to answer it.
Here is more input from contributors:
- It depends on other people just like you and me to post answers to the questions asked. If everyone could post a $5 bill with their question, maybe they could hire experts and require them to reply within a prescribed time limit, but until then, replies come when someone is interested enough in your question to post their answer/opinion.
- It helps if your question is as specific as possible. To take an example from history, it's not hard to answer a question like 'Which terms of surrender did France have to accept in 1940?' On the other hand, a question like 'What are some things that happened in France in World War Two?' is vague and people have to guess what what kind of information you're looking for. It's less likely to get an answer.
- If you want fast facts, photos or diagrams, a huge amount of information, or word definitions, you would probably get a better response from www.Answers.com, or a search engine like www.google.com or www.dogpile.com
