I'm not a lawyer, but I work for a law firm and I don't think so. The first question I have is are you separated or divorced? I assume separated because financial issues would've been resolved in a binding property settlement agreement in the case of divorce.

It is my understanding that the only way to protect joint assets (which is what I assume you're talking about) would be to initiate the divorce through counsel. You're attorney could ask the judge to enter an order to prevent any transactions.

It is also my understanding that if his name is on anything he has equal rights to it. If he does, only his signature or the signature of his attorney would be binding.

Hope this helps...and if it's not going to work out, ditch him for good and go to the beach!
