What are eggs made out of?

[Edit]
Chickens ovulate once per "light cycle." Normally that's a day, but in battery egg production they tend to cycle the lights far more often than once a day.

A chicken's gonna ovulate every day. If a chicken has sex with a rooster in that day, the next egg will be fertile, and in 21 days it would hatch into a chick. If the chicken DOESN'T have sex, an infertile egg is produced and will find its way into your local supermarket.
