What is a terrestrial organism?

In: Biology
[Edit]
=== Terrestrial = Land Dwelling ===

'Terra' is the Latin word for earth. So an animal that lives on the surface of the earth is called terrestrial. This is the same root word as 'extraterrestrial' meaning an alien.
