What value is there in establishing standards of hotels? |

Answer
Have you ever woken up to a Cockroach crawling up your nose? Have you ever eaten at a hotel restaurant where the bread was moldy? Basically, the *BEST* hotel has amenities such as a Concierge, Valet Parking, Spacious suites with Visconces and Chandeliers, 3 or more world-renowned Chefs, free cable and phone service, free Wifi, a Wet Bar, big fluffy towels, Silk Curtains, Decorative Carpets, bellboys, and Bathrobes. Most people would prefer to stay at the latter motel, but most often settle on a median hotel because of price against affordability. I like the ones that have a pool, sauna and jacuzzi! In business, the name is all the difference to whether a hotel is first class or low class. When you hear of the Ritz Carlton or Sheraton, you think classy. When you hear of Motel 6, you wonder if they've changed the light bulb or not. Competition amongst Hotels can raise the quality of service and cleanliness to attract you the customer. If the Sheraton is booked solid for the next week because of a convention, are you going to thumb the yellow pages for an Adams Mark hotel or Motel 6?
