The reason why it is slowly decreasing is because they are coming out with different things like palm pilots, and different hand held units that are cheap and not speedy.

Your cpu usage should be low ,around 2-4%, high usage will mean a slow down in your computer because the resources (RAM) is being used up elsewhere, such as programs that run in the background like antivirus protection, spyware, updates etc.. some credit to the music dept. I have found that my daughters I-tunes and ,deel juke box run in the background also.
