Why should natural resources be conserved?

There are cases where resources need not but in most of the cases, we really need to conserve our resources. See, if we cut down all the trees, which some people keep doing, we are all going to suffer. Cutting down our trees (which absorb carbon dioxide) contribute to the greenhouse effect and all the air pollution is causing all this heat, and with all this heat the ice would melt in the North and South pole and eventually, we're probably going to die if this does not stop.
